that might seem like a heady quote for an
art gallery to use when talking about contributing part
of their profits back to the community, but it truly
embodies our philosophy.
Good
Hand Arts began as a labor of love to honor the creative
spirit in us all. The desire to create a gallery that truly
had the best intentions for both the artists creating
the work and the customers we serve was paramount, and
we have not wavered from that.
Our
continuing vision is to nurture and promote this e-commerce
website that supports
and encourages artists creating beautiful, quality works
of art. We hope to make art and handmade goods more
visible and accessible
to the average consumer. We feel the value of lovingly
created handmade items is a unique form of prayer and
is incomparable to the mass-produced
goods overwhelming us in modern society. We want
to share the joy of that creative spirit with as many
consumers as we can.
We strongly support programs that provide work and support
to groups who are in need. We also continue to embrace
environmentally friendly practices, including recycling
and the use of recycled goods and renewable energy sources.
We
contribute 1% of all profits to worthy organizations with a large majority of
those being community art organizations in order to continue fueling the
creative fires. The organizations are recommended to Good Hand Arts by the
participating artists during their application process. If you look at the
Resources page you will see links with an Exclamation mark. This icon indicates
those organizations that one of our artists has specifically selected as their
personal choice to receive our continuing support. We encourage you to check
out this list and learn more about these amazing groups of passionate people
reaching out to make a difference!
