Courtney Gray Courtney Gray began creating in Houston Texas in 1996, creating found object masks and sculpture. After attending community college and working as a sheet metal worker in 1997 she moved to Austin, TX and began studying metal work which included techniques with steel, copper, silver, gold and platinum. After receiving certificates in art metals and metal sculpture from Austin Community College she went on to receive four international certificates in welding technology from the Handwerks Kammer in Koblenz, Germany. She now creates one of a kind and some production pieces in sterling silver, 14 and 18K Gold, steel, copper and glass sconces and sculptures, paintings and yes the occasional mask from her metalsmithing lab, Hard Court Studios in Austin Texas. |
